- Perform all Lifeguard duties and supervise other lifeguards.
- Plan and lead in-service training sessions.
- Conduct audits and safety checks of aquatic facilities.

Lifeguard
- Responsibilities:
- Supervise Rec Sports activities in aquatic venues, ensuring safety.
- Respond to emergencies in compliance with American Red Cross and USC policies.
- Enforce pool rules and report any hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain and submit required records.
- Assist with pool configuration and setup as needed.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Club Sports Supervisor
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee club sport operations during evenings and weekends at the Lyon Center and other USC athletic/recreational facilities.
- Ensure access to rooms, fields, and storage closets during club sport practices, and assist with securing them afterward.
- Supervise club sports participants and coaches, ensuring compliance with Recreation Club Council (RCC) policies.
- Manage Club Sport home competitions, including set-up, scorekeeping, and oversight.
- Enforce all policies and procedures of Recreational Sports.
- Assist with Rec Sports activities and special events.
- Represent the program professionally at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Knowledge of USC RCC policies and procedures preferred.
- Ability to make independent decisions and guide student athletes.
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills required.
- Required Certifications:
- Must be a currently enrolled student at USC; CWSP preferred.
- American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification.
Event Site Supervisor
- Responsibilities
- Supervise special events within USC Recreational Sports facilities, ensuring a safe and professional environment
- Enforce department and university policies while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for event participants
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting event organizers, guests, and participants with any questions and/or concerns
- Communicate effectively with other site supervisors, facility staff, and professional staff to ensure seamless event execution
- Conduct facility inspections before, during, and after events to maintain cleanliness and adherence to safety guidelines
- Document any incidents and provide detailed event reports to the Recreational Sports Production & Scheduling Supervisor
- Skills/Requirements:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Must be available to work weekends evenings as needed.
- Prior customer service and/or event management experience is preferred.

HSC Fitness Center Facility Operations Assistant
- Responsibilities:
- Check-in gym members using the Fusion system.
- Sell beverages and rent gym equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
- Perform regular rounds every 20 minutes to enforce gym policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the gym, including cleaning equipment.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Must be a currently enrolled USC student; undergraduate students with work-study preferred.
- Eligible for work-study.

Lyon Center Facility Operations Assistant
- Responsibilities:
- Enforce Recreational Sports policies during fitness floor and membership desk hours.
- Respond to inquiries at the front desk and via phone.
- Handle sales and equipment rentals at the front desk and Pro Shop.
- Ensure the fitness area remains clean, safe, and organized.
- Communicate updates on programs and services to patrons.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Eligible for work-study.
- Currently enrolled USC student.
- Required Certifications:
- American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification

USC Village Fitness Center Facility Operations Assistant
- Responsibilities:
- Implement policies and guidelines for fitness areas and membership desk.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the fitness area.
- Serve as a first responder during emergencies.
- Assist patrons with equipment and programming inquiries.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Currently enrolled USC student, with work-study preferred.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Required Certifications:
- CPR, First Aid, AED
HSC Fitness Center Facility Operations Student Lead
- Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily organization and administration of the Recreational Sports Center.
- Supervise undergraduate staff, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.
- Handle confidential information and act as a liaison for student employees regarding USC Counseling & Mental Health Services.
- Ensure the facility’s safety, maintenance, and organization.
- Respond to emergencies and cover shifts as needed.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and attention to detail.
- Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Required Certifications:
- American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification
- Completion of mandatory Recreational Sports training and orientations
Lyon Center Facility Operations Student Lead
- Responsibilities:
- Assist with the administration of facility operations, including security and maintenance.
- Supervise and train undergraduate staff, handling recruitment and evaluations.
- Report and document facility issues and organize task coordination.
- Act as a first responder in emergencies and manage special events as needed.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Minimum of three months of experience as a Facility Operations Assistant.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work varying shifts.

USC Village Fitness Center Facility Operations Student Lead
- Responsibilities:
- Guide Fitness Assistants on policies, procedures, and customer service.
- Supervise Fitness Assistants and handle maintenance issues.
- Serve as a first responder during emergencies.
- Assist with training and evaluating Fitness Assistants.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Currently enrolled USC student, with work-study preferred.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Group Fitness Instructor
- Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate safe exercise techniques and principles.
- Lead and demonstrate skills to participants effectively.
- Maintain professionalism toward colleagues and members of the Division of Recreational Sports.
- Exhibit energy, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Must be a currently enrolled USC student; undergraduate students with work-study preferred.

Personal Trainer
- Responsibilities:
- Schedule and conduct assessments and training sessions with clients.
- Design personalized exercise sessions based on clients’ needs.

- Currently enrolled USC student, with work-study preferred.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Intramurals Program Coordinator
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of intramural games and events.
- Supervise referees, scorekeepers, and support staff.
- Ensure safety on the playing field, and respond to injuries or emergencies.
- Assist with scheduling, staff assignments, and event promotion.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Experience in intramural sports or recreation program supervision.
- Strong understanding of sports rules and regulations.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours.
- Knowledge of Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football preferred

Intramurals Referee
- Responsibilities:
- Officiate intramural sports games and enforce rules consistently.
- Assist with game setup and monitor the game's progress, including timekeeping and scoring.
- Communicate effectively with participants to explain rulings and resolve disputes.
- Ensure safety, providing basic first aid if necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of game results and incidents.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Strong understanding of sports rules and regulations.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

- Previous referee experience preferred.

- Responsibilities:
- Create graphics that adhere to USC Identity guidelines.

- Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the development and execution of the USC Recreational Sports Marketing Plan.
- Manage content for social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube) and website.
- Assist with photography, video creation, and copywriting for marketing materials.
- Research content for communications and assist with social marketing strategies.
- Skills/Requirements:
- Knowledge of communications, marketing, and graphic design.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe, or similar platforms.

Administrative Office Assistant
- Responsibilities:
- Research and collect information for special projects.
- Organize and file documents, addressing overloaded files as necessary.

- Collaborate with the Recreation Sales and Service Coordinator.

- Experience in customer service, retail, or business operations.

- Supervising and engaging with youth participants during recreational activities.
