Alessandra

Alessandra PT

Alessandra is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach through NASM. She is double-majoring in Human Biology and French and double-minoring in dance and music performance at USC, and also works in the Biomechanics lab. Growing up in an active family, Alessandra learned to love movement from a young age. She is a former competitive gymnast, a current dancer, and got her black belt in taekwondo when she was 12. Her gymnastics career was cut short due to a knee injury, which inspired her to create her own workout programs during the recovery process. In the gym, she emphasizes proper technique and exercise execution as well as functional movement and injury prevention. Her favorite workouts include HIIT cardio, lifting (with a particular fondness for shoulder day), barre, and taking dance classes at Kaufman and at various studios in LA. If you find her in the gym, she will likely be listening to Taylor Swift!

Andrew

Andrew is a certified personal trainer through the Brookbush Institute and is a first year doctor of physical therapy student!  He specializes in powerlifting, muscle hypertrophy, strength and conditioning, corrective exercise, and more. Andrew loves personal training because it gives him the opportunity to teach people a mastery of their bodies they never thought possible. He is grateful for the hands-on rule that he gets to pay in improving people’s fitness journeys, and overall lifestyles! 

Fun fact: Andrew is a former USC Powerlifting team captain!

Ben

Ben is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and is a junior majoring in Human Biology with a minor in business. He specializes in hypertrophy, resistance, and strength training. As a trainer, Ben enjoys helping others progress and feel more confident in themselves. Additionally, he believes that fitness is more than just the workout but a way to develop mental strength, self-discipline, and positive mindsets. Ben likes to stay active by weightlifting, running, and playing sports recreationally.
Fun fact: Ben’s favorite song is Linger by The Cranberries.

Chase is a junior studying Psychology and Neuroscience. He is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), specializing in weights and resistance training. He additionally has a passion for track and field. He aims to make the gym a more welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone by bringing good vibes and even better energy. His gym motto is "If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you."

Colton

Colton earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas Tech University before relocating to California in 2023 to pursue a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. He is also a dedicated member of the USC Trojan Marching Band, where he plays the alto saxophone. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Colton holds a NASM certification and specializes in evidence-based exercise programming. His areas of expertise include endurance, strength, muscle building, and power, with an emphasis on measurable progress through specific metrics and percentages.

Halley is a junior double majoring in Philosophy, Politics and Law and French with a minor in Dance. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Halley specializes in strength and conditioning training, and strives to make working out as fun and rewarding as possible so that the gym becomes your new favorite place! With a background in dance and Lagree method, Halley emphasizes the importance of proper technique, foundation building, and stretching for lasting results and minimizing injury. When not lifting weights or jamming on the Stairmaster, she stays active by taking workout classes around Los Angeles and dance classes at Kaufman!

Ishmael

Ishmael is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)-certified personal trainer and U.S. Air Force veteran currently studying Human Security and Geospatial Intelligence. He’s especially passionate about helping new gym-goers feel confident and empowered, because he knows firsthand how intimidating the gym can be, given that he didn’t grow up exercising, but rather discovered his love for fitness much later in life during his time in the military. With experience as a physical training leader in the Air Force and now as a personal trainer at USC, he brings a well-rounded, inclusive approach to fitness, allowing him to work well with individuals of all ages and experience levels. Ishmael specializes in weight training, with a focus on muscle hypertrophy and body recomposition. Whether your goal is to build muscle, lose fat, or feel stronger, he’s got you covered. He’s also passionate about educating his clients so they feel confident continuing their fitness journey on their own.

His approach combines scientific understanding with practical training. He is a sports enthusiast, enjoying basketball, long-distance running, volleyball, and swimming to stay active. Jace believes fitness should be consistent, enjoyable, and balanced for mental and physical well-being. He aims to make exercise a rewarding part of your lifestyle.

Fun fact: Jace was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and has served in the Korean Army for two and a half years!

Katherine is currently a sophomore pursuing a degree in Music Industry with a minor in Business Finance. Certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), she specializes in weight lifting and aerobics, focusing on both muscle growth and endurance. In addition to weightlifting, Katherine enjoys running, tennis, cycling, and exploring various ways to stay active. Passionate about promoting the connection between the mind and body, she lives by the motto, "every change comes with a gain." With a belief that all progress, no matter how small, is significant, Katherine is dedicated to helping clients develop sustainable habits to achieve their fitness goals.

Sam is a senior from Massachusetts that has studied both Health and Human Sciences and Psychology. He specializes in strength and resistance training, with a passion for helping and motivating others to achieve their fitness goals. Whether your goal is to build muscle, burn fat, or finally get consistent in the gym, Sam focuses on sustainable results through smart progression, proper technique, and personalized structure. To stay active, Sam loves playing sports and hiking with his friends on the weekends.

Sydney is a junior in Quantitative Biology and is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She specializes in functional training, conditioning, stretching, and pilates. Sydney's philosophy is that fitness is a transformative journey that benefits both your physical and emotional well-being. Exercise improves your mood, energy levels, overall comfort in your body, and functionality. To stay active, Sydney enjoys doing Pilates, hiking, swimming, and jogging.

Fun fact: Sydney coached a swim team for two years and a softball team for one year!
